A private design visit at your home
Billy Massie, a local fireman and certified first responder, walks the property with you, free, and designs the lighting to the lines of your house. Ask and he will do a complimentary home safety walk-through while he is there. No pressure, no catalog.

A design made for your home
Rooflines, peaks, gutter lines, dormers, columns, the garage, fence lines, walkways and beds, tree and shrub wraps, pre-lit wreaths in 48, 60 and 72 inches, and garland. Warm white is our standard; red, green, blue, gold and multi are available.

Commercial-grade materials
Minleon SMD C9 LED bulbs in Sun Warm White, custom-cut strands sized to your home, TuffClip gutter and shingle clips so nothing is nailed or stapled to your roof, and programmable outdoor timers.

Installed by certified, insured roofers
United Exteriors holds a Virginia Class A contractor license, the highest class the Commonwealth issues. Most holiday light installers are not licensed contractors, and very few are roofers. Our crews know slate from shingle, where to step and where not to, and how to leave a roof exactly as they found it.

You choose the dates
Installs begin in mid-October with the timers off. Your lights come on the day you say. Greenery goes up from November 1. Timers run 6pm to 11pm, or whatever you prefer.

Season support through Christmas Day
A support crew runs through the season. A bulb out or a line down is fixed at no cost, usually within a day. You get a text when we are on the way.

Takedown in January, on your schedule
January 2 through 31, at a time you choose. Every line labeled and taped, the site swept, nothing left behind.

Storage and care, included
We store, test and replace your materials in our warehouse. Your home's lighting map stays on file so years 2 and 3 go up exactly right.

Years 2 and 3
The same design, or an updated one, with the same crew standard and the same price. 3 seasons, one agreement, no surprises.

Fully insured, Class A licensed
A certificate of insurance is available on request, and our Virginia Class A contractor license number (2705118085) is on every proposal.
Why 3 seasons
Built for your home, not borrowed for a month.
Your strands are cut to the inch for your rooflines. Your trees are mapped. Your power runs are planned once and hidden well. All of that work happens in year 1. Years 2 and 3 are when it pays you back: the same design goes up in hours, the price does not move, and nothing is ever your problem.
Billed once a season, after your install is complete and the lights are on. Net 7. No deposit. We accept a limited number of new homes each season, scheduled in the order agreements are signed.

Warm white is our standard.
Minleon Sun Warm White C9 bulbs read as candlelight from the street, which is why nearly every estate we light chooses them. Red, green, blue, gold and traditional multicolor are available for a tree, a garage, or a whole home if that is your tradition. Greenery is pre-lit with warm white minis.
